My main passion is studio photography and last years for my final end of year exhibition I exhibited more photojournalim style images so this year I would like to make sure that it is something in the studio as my lighting skills have developed and I want to show my skills in the studio through my work.
Through this year I have captured dancers and the deeper meaning behind it. Therefore, I would like to continue with this as I have enjoyed working with dancers. My aim focus when photographing dancers was to capture full lenght shots so this time I would like to capture close ups of the images and bring the image in more so it is more personal and deeper.
My aim is to photography still images of dancers stretching. I will use a black background and have them wearing a black leotard so they blend in with each other and have make the body parts separate and look surreal. I would like to achieve a surreal feel to the image but also to show the imperfections of the dancers. Steroetypically people think dance is about freedom and all dancers are perfect but behind all the make-up and sparkle outfits are imperfections. I want to show this.
